Events happening in and around Derbyshire

Here is a list of some of the events taking place in and around the Peak District.

  • Hopton Hall 1st February 2026 to 28th February from 10.30am to 4pm last entry at 3pm-Snowdrop Walk
  • Kedlaston (National Trust) Spring flowers for those who enjoy there seasonal flowers in a broader landscape
  • Thornbridge Hall.  Rather than a vast carpet of snowdrops these appear in little groups.  Try the Ashford Arms for lunch!
  • Calke Abbey in late January the contours of this NT Garden is rewarding show the first sign of spring.
  • Ashbourne Shrovetide Football 17th/18th February -famous game-are you a downard/upard. A game where friends meet old and new!
  • Carsington Water Water 14th/22nd February Track the ducks arround the centre and receive your prize!

Other things to do…

  • Take a walk or bring your bikes a cycle along the High Peak Trail – direct off road access from the cottages – miles of traffic free cycling.
  • Visit the famous Love Locker at Thornbridge Hall and then explore the beautiful gardens, finish off with lunch in the cafe open 7 days a week
  • Explore the grounds of Chatsworth House
